Denise started her Balboa journey back in 2005, when Swing Patrol Doncaster included it in their end of year performance routine. That same year she competed in the Balboa JnJ division of the Sydney Jitterbug Championship and came home with a medal. The competition bug bit hard and she entered as many Bal events as she could, the peak of which was winning the Australian Balboa Championship in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
Denise taught at Swing Patrol’s Balpit for many years, and made regular appearances in the Club Maxie’s teaching circle, and is now very excited to be making a return and sharing the Bal love once more.
