Join us for this Swing Patrol tradition, and a highlight of the swing calendar. Dancers from all over Melbourne, from beginners to “old hands”, hit the floor for a night of fun, energy, applause, dressing up, showing off and sensational swing dancing and music. Social dance in a world-class ballroom, to our favourite swing DJs, and, throughout the night, students from Swing Patrol class venues, troupes, and a bunch of our friends, will perform, some for the first adrenalin-pumping time ever.

This “night of nights” is a wonderful way to showcase swing dancing, to inspire the next generation, energise long-time dancers, and show our non-dancing friends what this swing dance thing is all about.

Tickets will be strictly limited by venue capacity, and will be released in two waves. Performers tickets will be sold first (from 31 July), with additional places released as social dancer/spectator tickets (from 14 August).

WAITLIST
If online tickets are sold out, text Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311 with your name, the event name, and how many tickets you want, and Swing Patrol will text you back if tickets become available. You will be given an exclusive Access Code to use for booking within a specific window of time. After that time frame, any available tickets will be offered to the next person on the waitlist.
Do not consider buying tickets on social media from anyone you don’t know. Typically, any offers to sell tickets are fraudulent, and third party sales may violate our Code Of Conduct.
If you have a ticket but cannot attend, please text Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311 to arrange cancellation and refund. The sooner you do so, the more chance we have of giving your spot to someone on the Waitlist.

If you want to come along on the night, book online before you leave home. If there are no tix available online, it means the event is at capacity. It is unlikely there will be tickets sold at the door.

FAQs
Q: What time are the performances?
A: Performances will take place in two separate brackets, between 9pm and 10.30pm. Closer to the date of the event, your teachers will advise which performance bracket your routine is in. On the night, running orders will be posted at the venue, and the MC will make announcements.

Q: Will there be somewhere to practice on the night before the performance?
A: The Theatre studio (adjacent to the SkyDeck) will be open from 7.15-8pm for informal practice. From 8pm, there will be scheduled times for each group to run through their routine. Your teachers will advise you of your time, and the schedule will be posted at the venue.

Q: Will there be somewhere to change my outfit?
A: The Red Room (on the same floor as the SkyDeck) will be available as a dressing room (with a couple of dressing tents) from 7.30-10.30pm. Please don’t use the toilets as dressing rooms, as this will create queues for the loos.

Q: Can my non-dancing friends/family come to watch?
A: Of course. Spectator tickets will go on sale on Fri 14 August, after we give performers enough time to secure their spot at the event.

Q: What if my friend/family just want to watch my routine, and not stay for the rest of the night? Any cheap tix?
A: Venue capacity is limited, so we need to give priority to our community of performers and social dancers. *IF* the event isn’t sold out, we may make $10 “Just Watch” tickets available at the door, limited to entry for the duration of the performances. But we won’t know until the day of the event.

Q: What if I just want to social dance?
A: There will be at least two hours of social dance time, after the taster lesson and between and after the performance brackets. Social dancer/Spectator tickets will go on sale on Fri 14 August, after we give performers enough time to secure their spot at the event.
