The final night of Swing Patrol Club Maxie’s for 2024 is Friday 6 December. After the summer break, we’ll return on Friday 14 February 2025.
Welcome to Club Maxie’s – Swing Patrol’s only dedicated Balboa and Collegiate Shag venue. Regular hour-long classes in Shag and Balboa, plus heaps of social dancing.
Level 1 – Beginner Balboa | 7.00 – 8.00pm
Drop in any week, all welcome! No experience with Balboa – or indeed, any dancing – necessary! This class is aimed at total beginners or anyone looking to work on their basic Balboa technique. No partner required. Just turn up and we’ll take care of the rest.

Drop in any week, all welcome! No partner required. No experience necessary! Learn the basics of Collegiate Shag and be dancing in no time!

Social dancing | 9.00 – 11.00pm
Great DJ music, slick floor, cheap drinks at the bar (cash or card accepted), room to sit and socialise between dances.
