Aerials are a truly iconic part of Swing Dancing – swing legend Frankie Manning’s eyes would light up when talking about air steps.
This workshop is aimed at those new to flying. It will start with some easier and achievable aerials and then we have a plan A and plan B depending on how the class goes. You’ll get tips on good aerials technique and how to spot and practice safely. You can expect a few history nuggets, and some rest/drink breaks along the way.
**Note that we will teach different aerials to those that were taught in 2024 by Sarah & Evan**
Arrianne O’Shea is a web developer by day and a talented teacher and dancer, who has performed with Swing Patrol’s award winning dance troupes in the UK and Europe. Arrianne is probably best known for her aerials and has taught many aerials workshops across England and across Australia.
Scott Cupit is the Director and co-founder of Swing Patrol and has been and still is the driving force of this unique community of swing dancers since 1998. He has been teaching local classes for more than 20 years, and in recent years has taught aerials all over Europe.

*Please arrive a few minutes before the advertised start time, to check in and be ready to dance at the start of the session.*
Pair Passes only (1 Base + 1 Flyer) – you must register with a partner, and we will not change partners throughout the workshop.
PRICING:
Pair Pass: $90 +booking fee (available til 11.55pm 30 January)
On The Day Pair Pass: $110 +booking fee (available online on the day of the workshop)
Attendance is by online registration only.
Passes will be available until dates advised above, unless sold out in advance.
WAITLIST: If your preferred ticket type is sold out Text Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311, with your name, the workshop title, and which tickets you want, and Swing Patrol will text you back if tickets become available, giving you an exclusive Access Code to use for booking within a specific window of time.

REFUND POLICY
If you need to cancel due to illness/Covid Safety, a refund will be available as long as you advise Swing Patrol via text to 0412 309 311 before 1pm on the day of the event.
Cancellations for reasons other than illness/Covid Safety: As the venue has a fixed capacity, refunds are not possible without 24 hours notice, as we may have turned away other dancers and need time to give others the opportunity to snap up your spot. Thanks for understanding. Where applicable, a full or partial refund (less administration fee) may be available up to close of online ticket sales at 5pm Thursday 30 January. Contact Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311. After 5pm Thursday 30 January, no such refunds will be issued.
