Solo Jazz – getting your A game on with Fancy Dougherty

This is a general class for all levels of dancers after our Highgate Hill level 1 class were Fancy takes you on a jazz journey. Fancy will equip you with some great solo jazz . Some moves will be easier but the challenges is how you dance them! Fancy will work on how to execute them with pizzazz, body movement and accuracy while having the joy of dance as you hit the floor. The class will teach you some “eight by eight” phrases and give you some tools to jump into a solo jazz competition – or just enjoy solo jazz with friends. It’ a rare chance to get in front of an international A lister swing dancer. Fancy is humble, fun and such a gifted teacher – make the most of Fancy in town.

For those who like a goal there will be an informal solo jazz competition on Sunday April 14th at the Sunday Shimmy social dance.
