This workshop is perfect for anyone who is brand new, or relatively new to eight-beat Lindy Hop.

Eight-beat is at the very heart of Lindy Hop — that wonderful swinging rhythm that opens up so much of the dance. It’s absolutely worth spending some dedicated time getting comfortable with it!

Instructors Leigh & Scott assume no prior eight-beat experience, breaking things down in a relaxed, achievable and fun way. And if you joined us for our September workshop, you’re very welcome back — the October 25th workshop will feature different content, so there’ll be plenty of new material and concepts to explore.

Come along, build your confidence, add some great new moves to your dancing and get that eight-beat rhythm feeling good!

NEW! – Switch Pass – Aiming to make these partner dancing workshops accessible to as many people as possible, we’ve introduced a new ticket option. If you’re keen to attend, eager to dance, and don’t mind which dance role you do, consider booking a Switch Pass. Gives you guaranteed entry to the workshop (regardless of current Lead:Follow ratio) and the role you dance in the workshop will be decided by attendee numbers on the day. Great for your learning, and good for the community.

WAITLIST: If your preferred ticket type is sold out, text Swing Patrol on 0412 309 311, with your name, the workshop title & date, and which tickets you want, and Swing Patrol will text you back if tickets become available. We try to balance the Lead:Follow ratio for an optimum partner dancing experience.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY: If you need to cancel due to illness/Public Health & Safety, a refund will be available as long as you advise Swing Patrol via text to 0412 309 311 before 9am on the day of the event.

Cancellations for reasons other than Public Health & Safety: As the venue has a fixed capacity, refunds are not possible without 48 hours notice, as we may have turned away other dancers and need time to give others the opportunity to snap up your spot.
