Swing Patrol is excited to be part of an upcoming event at the Victorian Jazz Club.
The VJC proudly and passionately supports local jazz music, presenting bands to eager audiences of listeners and dancers. Melbourne’s swing dancers can regularly be found at VJC gigs at the Clayton RSL.
With Chonk playing live in July, we can’t think of a better gig for a collaboration between SP and the VJC!

SCHEDULE
7.00pm Doors open.
7.30pm Balboa taster lesson with Swing Patrol teachers Jason John (Swing Patrol Richmond and Lindy Friday) and Kristin Guley (Club Maxie’s).
8 – 11pm Live music featuring Chonk.

ABOUT CHONK
Well known and loved by local dancers, Peter Baylor on guitar & banjo leads this band. With him will be Eamon McNelis on trumpet, Julien Wilson on saxaphone, Kade Brown on piano, Howard Cairns on double bass, Miro Lauritz on vibraphone and Luca Frailon on drums. Great swinging jazz, ideal for dancing all the dances.
