North Sydney Routine

You’re invited to learn a fun all-levels routine which we’ll perform at Swing Central (Swing Patrol’s monthly social dance) on August 18th!!!

Why learn a routine?
– Learning choreography is a great way to really improve your dancing, FAST. You’ll learn a bunch of moves and get loads of opportunities to practice them.
– Performing is FUN! You’ll get to show what you’ve learned and share your love of dancing with your friends.

What level is the routine?
The bulk of the routine will be similar to our level 1 class and is suitable for everyone. There will be a section that is just for our level 2 dancers (which we will teach to them separately and then slot into the routine). As always, speak to us first if you want to try level 2.

What time are the classes?
Everybody: 6.30pm
Level 2: 7.45pm

When is it happening?
Classes start Tuesday 11th July and run every week until 15th August. The performance will be on Friday 18th August

No need to register, just come and pay on the door.

What if I don’t want to perform?
You are still welcome to learn the routine even if you don’t plan on performing, however the last two classes on August 8th and 15th will be designed just for people who are performing.

What if I miss a class?
Obviously the more classes you can make the better, however if you miss a class you should be able to catch up. We will be posting video recaps which you can watch to learn the bits you missed at home. But if you miss a lot of classes you may find it too tricky to learn the parts you’ve missed.

Do I need a partner for the classes?
No – in class we’ll be rotating partners as usual so you don’t need to have a specific partner.

Do I need a partner for the performance?
Yes – you can either choose someone to dance with, or if you don’t have a partner in mind we can pair you up with someone.
