Welcome to Swing Patrol East Brisbane! We can’t wait to start dancing with you on Monday nights. All welcome! We have all kinds of swing dance classes, for varying levels of experience.
No need to bring a partner, we will be rotating throughout the class.
Level 1 – Beginners | 6.30 – 7.30pm
This class is for those new to dancing or new to swing dancing, and there is no experience required. We go over the basics every lesson and add new moves every week so you can start any time that suits you. This is a drop-in class, so you don’t need to book in advance. See Class Plan below for more details.
Level 2 – Intermediates | 7.30 – 8.30pm
In this timeslot, we will run a series of 3-5 week courses, each exploring different elements of swing dancing. This is NOT a drop-in class. Pre-bookings are essential, to ensure a cohesive learning environment. You will not be able to pay at the door pro-rata for just a few sessions.

LEVEL 1 timeslot
The Swing Patrol East Brisbane 6.30pm classes will start teaching eight beat Lindy Hop right at the start of the year. This is the heart beat of the dance, and will be taught at an absolute beginner/introductory level from the first evening. Leigh & Scottie will constantly review how the dancers are going and move onto the next rhythm when it feels appropriate for those in the class.
**Note that on March 9th Scott will be abroad so the 6.30pm class will be a special ’20s charleston class with Leigh and guest teacher Kahl. **
