Welcome to Swing Patrol East Brisbane! We can’t wait to start dancing with you on Monday nights. All welcome! The 6.30pm class assumes no prior knowledge so join us anytime. 🙂
No need to bring a partner, we will be rotating throughout the class.
Level 1 – Beginners | 6.30 – 7.30pm
This class is for those new to dancing or new to swing dancing, and there is no experience required. We go over the basics every lesson and add new moves every week so you can start any time that suits you. This is a drop-in class, so you don’t need to book in advance. Check the class plan below for more details.
Level 2 – Intermediates | 7.30 – 8.30pm
In this timeslot, we will run a series of 3-5 week courses, each exploring different elements of swing dancing. This is NOT a drop-in class. Pre-bookings are essential, to ensure a cohesive learning environment. You will not be able to pay at the door pro-rata for just a few sessions. Check the class plan below for more details.
Wondering about parking? There is a nice big car park outside the hall, with the entrance on Wellington St.

Note that a free dress rehearsal will be held on Saturday 28 November at East Brisbane State School, 56 Wellington Rd, East Brisbane 4169, between 9am and 1pm. Your teachers will advise you of exact times for your routine, but keep the morning free. It’s always a really fun occasion where we cheer each other on as we add our final touches. 😉

Christmas Routine — Level 2
Let’s get festive! From early November (Nov 2nd to Nov 30) , our 7:30pm Level 2 class will transform into something a little special. This 730pm class will be working with a great Jess J version of “Man with the Bag” – yes we are talking about Santa! 🙂 Red shirts and festive headwear is what we are about here!
Over the weeks we’ll build the routine together — working on the choreography, styling and musicality, while having plenty of laughs along the way. Then comes the fun bit: we’ll perform it together at our Christmas Party on Sunday 6 December! You don’t need to be a seasoned performer — this is about learning something fun, challenging yourself a little and being part of a cracking end-of-year routine with your fellow dancers. Come for the Lindy Hop. Stay for the Christmas cheer.
