Sunday Swing Sesh – Social Dance with Live Band!
Throughout 2026, we’re excited to be offering regular social dancing to live community bands, in various locations across Brisbane.
This bi-monthly social dance brings together community musicians and swing dancers.
Our next session:
Celebrate the year and the festive season with our final Swing Sesh of 2026 … the Swing Patrol Christmas Party.
Tickets for the December session will go on sale soon.
Kids under 12 enter for free.
BYO food and water/drinks
Taster class
Need a refresher on the basic steps? Then join our guest teachers for a taster class from 2:00-2:30PM. We will then continue with live music and social dancing until 6:00pm.
About the band
Melody Graves Quintet brings early swing, blues, and a New Orleans flavour to the social dance floor with polished arrangements, and dancer-friendly tempos for Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Blues.
Other stuff
*Due to the nature of live music and our favourite wooden flooring in dance halls, please consider bringing ear protection if noise is an issue for you. Although not amplified, 15-20 musicians all playing at the same time can create a high level of noise.
**Due to the costs associated with hiring a live band, and hall hire etc, there will not be concession or student ticket prices. If this cost is prohibitive to your attendance at the event please reach out to Monique at Swing Patrol for a confidential chat!**
